Our extraordinary day kicked off with a limousine pick-up, whisking us away from downtown Paris to the enchanting world of Disneyland. As we drove through picturesque landscapes, the excitement bubbled within us, knowing that something extraordinary awaited at the end of the journey.

Warm Greetings and Personalized Enchantments

Exiting the limousine, we were greeted by two Disney hosts with smiles as radiant as the magic in the air. The first surprise were none other than the signature Disney theme park pins, specifically noting Spencer, our son’s, birthday. They also brought with them not one, but 4 Baby Yoda Mickey ears, a surprise my daughter, Bailey had mentioned wanting to buy on her own. The hosts' attention to detail hinted at the extraordinary day that lay ahead.

A Magical Shutterbug and VIP Enchantment

Guided by our hosts and a personal photographer, we felt like celebrities navigating the park. These Disney "Secret Service" guides ensured we had uninterrupted moments of joy, capturing every smile and laughter as we strolled through the park.

Exclusive Ride Quests

Our adventure continued with exclusive access to rides, our first being Hyper Space (what those in the states know as Space Mountain – but in Paris it’s Star Wars themed – what a treat!). Whether it was Star Tours, or Big Thunder Mountain, Tower of Terror, even Haunted Manor (another twist on a Disney classic), we were always bypassing regular queues, founding ourselves in private carts, allowing us family ride pictures and an experience that elevated our Disney visit to a whole new level. The guides even offered us the chance to ride our favorite attractions multiple times, turning our day into a rollercoaster of joy.

Special Encounters with Darth Vader

Meeting Darth Vader was another highlight of our VIP experience. We were the first family of the day to enter Starport and meet The Sith Lord. He engaged us in a 10-minute conversation, acknowledging Spencer's birthday and creating an immersive experience that left us in awe.

Unprecedented Castle Access

A surprise trip to a secret gate at the side of the princess castle showcased Disney's commitment to creating unparalleled experiences. Standing atop a hillside, we captured photos unobstructed by crowds, a rare privilege reserved for a select few.

A Mid-Afternoon Surprise at the Royal Lounge

To our surprise, mid-afternoon we were accompanied to our own private lounge where we could refresh, relax, and meet our new guides for the remainder of the day. We also were impressed the place was adorned with desserts and champagne. Their chef, a member of the World Sushi Skills Institute, especially prepared sushi after we told them that our daughter loves sushi. The location was private and seemed like a picture out of a magazine in Walt’s private home with his fireplace and Christmas décor.

A Front-Row Parade Experience

As the sun set, our hosts guided us to an exclusive platform for the Main Street parade. Surrounded by snacks, treats, and blankets, we watched the spectacle unfold. Princesses and characters acknowledged us personally, creating an unforgettable experience.

Culinary Delights with a Grand Celebration

We enjoyed our dinner at the Bistrot Chez Rémy and were showered with an amazing dinner. A special cake for Spencer was also present, including a “Happy Birthday” song by nearly all the staff in the restaurant. This unexpected culinary delight and huge celebration offered a moment of excitement for my son, an extra layer of magic to our VIP treatment.

Fireworks Spectacle and Final Surprises

The day concluded with a front-row seat for the fireworks show, surrounded by treats and blankets again, and cheers with champagne in our signature glasses. After the spectacular ended and the park was closed, our hosts presented us with gift baskets filled with personalized goodies, ensuring our departure was as magical as the rest of the day.

A Magical Experience to Last a Lifetime

The staff at Disneyland Paris did not miss a beat even after our departure; this is something that still leaves a lasting impression. To our extreme surprise, we were greeted in our hotel room by yet another large giftbag with exclusive 30-year anniversary Disneyland Paris items – some of the finest bags and scarves and ties. Plus, they didn’t think the trip would be complete without sharing Baby Yoda with us again (in Santa attire), and knowing my love for Maleficent, providing me with the best memorabilia I won’t soon forget.

What’s even more amazing though, you may ask, is the attention to experience has still not subsided. Nearly a month later, as Christmas approached, we were delivered to our home an overnight priority package from our friends at Disney with pixy dust, a Christmas ornament, custom candies, and best of all, the sweetest note of sheer care and delight. We will not hesitate to visit again!
